Welcome! Bienvenue ! ‘Ia ora na !

My name is Hinatea, and I am originally from Tahiti, in French Polynesia.
French is my native language, and I have been fortunate to grow up in a rich blend of French and Tahitian cultures. At the age of 18, I left Tahiti to pursue my studies in France, where I had the opportunity to live in Nice and Montpellier for several years.
Subsequently, I moved to the United States for three years, residing in Jacksonville in Florida, Miami, and Irvine in California. Upon returning to France, I lived in Paris and then in Divonne-les-Bains, near the Swiss border.
I am passionate about travel, which I consider a valuable opportunity to discover the beauty of our world and explore new cultures. I strive to travel several times a year to broaden my horizons and meet inspiring people.
I have a keen interest in language learning. Besides French, I am fluent in English and am currently engaged in intensive study of Italian. For me, learning a new language is a way to embrace a culture and adopt new perspectives on the world.
Additionally, I also have a passion for scuba diving, which allows me to explore the hidden wonders of our planet.
Why working with me?
French native speaker
My native language is French, and I have been fortunate to grow up overseas in Tahiti. This experience has deeply sensitized me to the “Francophonie” and the diverse cultures that enrich France. Thanks to my dual culture, I easily adapt myself to different environments and demonstrate tolerance towards the customs and traditions of other countries. As an adult, I dedicated several years to learning English, and I am currently in the process of learning Italian. I am therefore well aware of the challenges that come with language learning. That is why I am fully prepared to support you on this journey with patience and kindness.
Diplomas
I first obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Educational Sciences, which allowed me to work with children. Then, I earned a DAEFLE (Diploma in Teaching French as a Foreign Language) from the Alliance Française in Paris before completing my Master’s degree in French as a Foreign Language with honors. Subsequently, I passed the public service exam to join the corps of teachers in the National Education system.
I also obtained a degree in neuroeducation in Paris, which allows me to bring an innovative and enriching approach to my teaching. This training provides me with the necessary tools to positively influence my students’language learning
Experiences abroad
With over 15 years of experience, I began by tutoring french and non-french children at home abroad, helping them integrate themselves into the French Educational system. Afterward, I joined private French schools as an assistant before becoming a primary school teacher in Tahiti. By specializing in French as a Foreign Language, I had the opportunity to teach the language to both adults and children eager to learn French, while also supporting them in their projects ( exams, new job opportunities, or relocations).
Today, I teach children in a french school, while also tutoring online courses for adults and children abroad. My specialty lies in grammar and pronunciation, but also in the French National program for children. Additionally, I particularly enjoy teaching the subtleties of the language while exploring the richness of French culture, which varies greatly from region to region.
